Nick is a Senior Director with nearly two decades of experience in healthcare revenue cycle optimization, system implementations, and technology-enabled performance improvement. He specializes in translating complex operational challenges into sustainable, data-driven solutions which deliver measurable financial impact.
Throughout his career as a revenue cycle performance improvement consultant, Nick has managed numerous large-scale implementations and optimization projects across healthcare organizations. His expertise spans the full revenue cycle, with particular depth in accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow analysis, denial and underpayment recoveries, and vendor performance management. Nick’s approach centers on breaking problems down into detailed components to understand root causes and financial impact before implementing relevant, lasting solutions.
Nick’s technical expertise includes system implementations, advanced analytics, report standardization, tool configuration, and outcome validation. He has led initiatives in billing optimization, denials management, vendor management, and contract management, helping healthcare organizations improve operational performance and reporting transparency. Representative engagements include managing a contract management and underpayment workflow implementation at multi-billion dollar health system; designing and building a custom workdriver to address a neglected workstream; and redesigning denials workflows which reduced AR backlogs by $10M+ while addressing pre-billing root cause issues.
An avid AI researcher, Nick continually explores emerging technologies and their potential applications to healthcare operations and analytics. He is passionate about leveraging his cross functional understanding of finance, information technology systems, and business processes to make workflows more efficient, more reliable, and achieve overall better outcomes.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University, with majors in Finance, Management Systems, and Statistics. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
