Mitchel is a Managing Director and the Head of Accordion’s Strategic Finance Practice. Bringing over 15 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, and M&A advisory, Mitchel elevates PE-backed clients’ finance functions through data-enabled technology and value creation initiatives within the office of the CFO. He has specific expertise in financial and operational modeling, working capital planning, and performance management.

Prior to Accordion, Mitchel served as a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Consulting at Palm Tree LLC. There, he was a key player in founding and growing the firm’s consulting service lines (Strategic Finance, Accounting Advisory, Data & Analytics and Operations) and was responsible for building a sophisticated team with experience across a breadth of financial and operational disciplines—including FP&A, M&A, treasury, accounting, and performance improvement—for companies ranging from $50M to over $2B.

Prior to Palm Tree, Mitchel worked at FINNEA Group, where he established and expanded the firm’s Performance Improvement Practice. He began his career at Plante & Moran Corporate Finance, where he advised on buy- and sell-side transactions.

Mitchel graduated with distinction from Michigan State University, with a B.A. in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business as a Financial Markets Institute Scholar.
