Matt is a Senior Director in Accordion’s Strategic FP&A Practice with over a decade of experience in corporate finance, Direct Investing, M&A, Integration / Divestiture Management, and Office of CFO. He has worked across a range of industries, including financial services, real estate, infrastructure, industrials, healthcare, and business services.
With Accordion, Matt specializes in Strategic FP&A and Transformation, providing leadership and execution support. He has led multiple engagements where his teams developed driver-based P&L forecasts, 3-statement models, corporate allocations, lender and board reporting packages, and supported public company disclosures. Additionally, Matt provides thought leadership and assessments on systems, processes and organizational design – helping clients execute value creation initiatives and transform their businesses.
Prior to joining Accordion, Matt spent over a decade in the middle-market space investing in, operating, and financing various private capital platforms.
At Aligned Data Centers, a Macquarie Infrastructure portfolio company, Matt served as Vice President of Finance, where he directed and optimized mission-critical FP&A work streams. Additionally, he partnered with the executive team to underwrite multi-million-dollar site acquisitions, raise capital, and execute transformation initiatives.
At ORIX, a multi-strategy RIA, Matt was a Director in the Merchant Banking Division, where he underwrote and executed private capital investments across the capital stack. He also sat within the Office of the CFO, supporting portfolio value creation, quantitative underwriting process redesign, and third-party capital fundraising. Matt completed an investment banking training co-op program at Houlihan Lokey, a former ORIX subsidiary, and helped execute ORIX’s IPO of Houlihan Lokey (NYSE: HLI) in 2015.
Matt began his career at PwC as a management consultant focused on finance strategy, operations, and merger integration / divestiture management for financial sponsors and strategic buyers.
Matt graduated with honors from Baylor University with a B.B.A. and Master of Accountancy. Matt is a CFA charter holder and CPA.
