Colby Whitlow

Colby is a Senior Director with more than 13 years of turnaround and restructuring, financial advisory, and corporate finance experience across a broad range of industries.

Colby specializes in advising companies and their stakeholders in distressed and non-distressed situations, with a particular focus on in-court and out-of-court restructurings, operational turnarounds, performance improvement, mergers and acquisitions, cash flow forecasting and liquidity management, business plan development, financial modeling and forecasting, and interim management. His industry experience includes consumer products & retail, energy & power, industrials & manufacturing, technology & telecom, and wholesale & distribution.​

In addition to his turnaround and restructuring advisory experience, Colby has advised companies on M&A transactions, finance transformations, and strategic FP&A engagements. He has also served in interim finance management roles, most recently serving as the interim VP of finance of a $1.2B PE-backed food distribution business.

Prior to joining Accordion, Colby worked in the turnaround and restructuring practices at AlixPartners and FTI Consulting. Prior to that, he worked in the strategy & operations – finance practice at Deloitte Consulting. He began his career in various in-house corporate FP&A roles for a large international retail company and a large wholesale company.​

Colby holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in finance and accounting from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
